Stop frame workshop experiment

I have been researching stop motion quite a lot, and here is a little demonstration video of an experiment conducted in a workshop. We decided to try and make a quick visual representation of snake, we realized that the square format that we had to work in (lego) reminded us of pixels, so I suggested we replicated a vintage arcade game. We decided snake would be a fun one to do as it was the game that everyone used to play as a child. We replicated the snake getting longer when it consumed a lego block and decided to only use 6 frames per second to make it appear more arcade like and jumpy. We made this on the program 'I can animate'. The hardest part of this was probably the outward growing square and flashing game over sign, as we decided that we didnt want there to be a sudden jump between losing and game over, so we tried to create a more subtle blend.
