After giving up on the concept of narrative I looked into ways I could produce a performance video without the use of instruments etc. I decided to try and make my own symbolic signs for the music. I broke the music down into different elements that would need individually animating. In the end I ended up with a few rough symbols that could be mediated and anchored to the sound that it is imitating.
I also thought that by using split screen it would make it easier to animate each instrument and link the visual with the audio.
